Since my children received their second implants, they focus on what they want to listen to, while still recognizing environmental sounds around them.  I can read them a book, yet they still identify when the phone or doorbell rings. They are not "missing out" on the everyday household activity.

Since my son received his second implant, he can immediately identify the correct location of the fire truck siren around us when riding in our van.

Since my children received their second implants, they do not have to work so hard to listen.  I've had to give up on getting them to take a nap.  They now have more energy to play.

Since my daughter received her second implant, she is able to understand & sing the correct words to her favorite songs.  I think it has improved her word recognition & music appreciation.
